hello

We're Tiger Cry.

We play indie pop-rock. We live in Chicago. We have two songwriters. Our names are Nicolette, Adam and Josh. We sound a bit like Cat Power crossed with Andrew Bird, with a little Dead Weather thrown in for luck. We love Tom Waits, The Black Keys, The Halamays, Nina Simone and Fats Waller. Plus so many more. We have big hearts.

Double Dip

Tiger CryWe are so going on a double-dip this weekend. Two shows in the same night! We should have rented a trolley or something… When will they allow those bike things where they have 20 seats and serve beer in the middle? We want one of those! First show’s at 9, then another at midnight. All Read more...

Crying

Tiger CryThat song is so good! Roy! We don’t play many covers. I don’t know why really. Maybe it’s the fact that we have two (no, three! (Josh is writing now!)) songwriters? Whatever the reason: we started learning a new one last night: Crying, by Mr. Roy Orbison. It’s so good! It’s surprisingly short too. You Read more...

Launchpad McQuack

Strange statueI just launched this badboy today: Launchpad McQuack-style. Wait, wasn’t he a terrible pilot? I can’t remember that silly show. I know I was obsessed with it as a kid, but you can’t blame me for that, can you? I mean, the NES game was sufficiently awesome. I should buy that for sure. But I Read more...
